Nisjae's Portfolio

Above is a painting of a girl using acrylic paint. Instead of using traditional skin colors, I experimented with primary colors and how they worked together.

This is a remake of one of my favorite artist's, Beverly McIver, painting. I used palette knives to for the man and background.

 Above is my painting of a boy with his hands up. In the background are various lines from Langston Hughe's poem 'Let America be America Again'. The ties together important feelings from the civil rights era with key points in our justice system today that we are still facing.
